Programs at Los Cerritos ES

At Los Cerritos Elementary, we offer engaging programs that inspire creativity, curiosity, and confidence. From Band to Gene Academy, our students have opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and grow as lifelong learners both inside and outside the classroom.

Starting in fifth grade, students at Los Cerritos Elementary can join the musical band program under the direction of elementary band teacher Aaron Nudelman. Students gain experience on snare and bass drums, and learn to play one of the following instruments: flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, or baritone horn. Lessons take place at each school twice a week.

Gene Academy provides students with hands-on learning experiences and exposure to real-world science and technology.
